Coronavirus Business Adaptation Grant Now Available

27 March 2020

A new Coronavirus Business Adaptation Grant has been launched to support all Isle of Man businesses that are having to diversify their offering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Any Isle of Man business that can demonstrate they have been affected by the pandemic and have a viable plan to continue subject to the adaption proposed, can now apply to the Department for Enterprise to cover 50% of any of the costs involved in the adaption (this excludes large retailers).

Laurence Skelly MHK, Minister for Enterprise, commented:

‘The Island has a history of evolution and adaptation and this new grant looks to support those businesses that are diversifying their offering in this current unprecedented climate. As we navigate these uncertain times I would like to thank all of our local companies who are showing such resilience and innovation for the benefit of our Island.’

Possible examples of diversification include:

  • A Distillery looking to make Hand Sanitiser
  • An affected business looking to invest in improved IT infrastructure to enable remote working
