23 September 2019
Locate Isle of Man have launched a regular email newsletter which will help keep the Island’s global network in touch with the Isle of Man.
Locate Isle of Man, part of the Department for Enterprise, has launched the monthly ‘Isle of Man Living’ newsletter to provide a comprehensive overview of current Island life updates for individuals who have an interest in the Isle of Man, wherever they may be based.
The light-hearted newsletter showcases Manx news pieces, relocation stories, provides tips and key guidance for relocating individuals and businesses, while also celebrating the Island’s Manx heritage, history and breath-taking beauty.
Minister for Enterprise, Laurence Skelly MHK commented on the launch of the newsletter:
‘Isle of Man Living will act as an important anchor for those who may be currently living away from the Island but still remain a key part of the Manx Diaspora, and wish to stay in touch with the Island’s local community.’
The first edition of Isle of Man Living covered the relocation story of Suzie Skelding, who returned to the Island after 17 years after seeking a better quality of life for her family. She has since progressed in her nursing career, advancing from a band 5 to band 7 whilst working in the Island.
The newsletter also featured the launch of the new Manx Culinary Apprentice Scheme, an article uncovering 8 Isle of Man Myths, information on the National Insurance Holiday, and more.
