TT Marshal Registration Opens Today

The TTMA, the official marshalling organisation for the Isle of Man TT Races have announced registration for this year’s event will open from 5pm today.

Anyone that is interested in Marshalling at this year’s event will be able to register online via the TTMA website. Once an individual has registered online, they will then be able to complete the two required online training modules.

‘It’s wonderful to be able to announce that registrations are now open. It’s a real milestone moment in the build-up for the Isle of Man TT Races.

‘The TTMA welcomes individuals of all levels of experience to come forward and sign up. Marshalling is a truly unique way to experience the event and a great way to support the Isle of Man TT Races. Choosing to marshal also gives the opportunity to learn new skills alongside a community of like-minded individuals.’

Rob Callister MHK, Political member with responsibility for Tourism and Motorsport, commented:

‘The Marshals are an integral part of the Isle of Man TT Races, and I would encourage anyone with a passion for the racing to sign up. The introduction of online sign ups and training modules will make it far more accessible for all individuals considering Marshalling, both on Island and those that travel from further afield.’

The TTMA have created a marshal development structure to enable marshals to get the most out of their experience whilst in a safe environment to learn on the job. As part of this structure, the TTMA will now implement two mandatory, easy to access, online training modules to all marshals before being allowed out on the course. It is estimated that the two modules will take around 20 minutes each to complete and will give Marshals the base level of skills and understanding they need to act with confidence.

The TTMA will also be attending the Isle of Man Graduate Fair on Thursday 14th April at the Comis Hotel as part of their plan to look for new ways to engage with a younger audience. Any students interested in becoming a Marshal are encouraged to come along and talk to the TTMA.
